Brightspark Exclusive: Escape the Port: City of Symbols

Posted by Seana Stevenson on Sep 21, 2018 9:32:10 AM

 Students in Old Montreal

This Brightspark Exclusive starts in Old Montreal at the foot of the gorgeous Notre Dame Basilica in Place de Arms square. This is one of the oldest locations in the city and features buildings that represent major periods in Montreal's development, including the first bank in Canada: the Bank of Montreal.

Your students will be briefed by your Tour Leader on the task: to locate all the symbols in the code and stop the hack of our nation's secrets.

Scattered throughout Old Montreal and the Old Port, your students will split into two groups, alpha and numeric, and will follow the directions through the tiny streets to solve each clue before the hack is complete.

When the groups solve all their clues, they must hurry back to their tour leader who will put the clues together and message the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

All answer sheets will be handed in to the tour leaders for The Adventure as you continue your student educational tour.

Add Escape the Port: City of Symbols to your Montreal student tour to get your class outside, working together and learning fun facts about the city.
